Biography

Ray brings a wealth of experience as both a trial consultant and trial attorney.

Since 1998, Robert has provided research and courtroom consulting to attorneys in cases from coast to coast, including strategic advice for clients ranging from prominent individuals to Fortune 500 defendants in national mass tort litigation.

His case types include tobacco and pharmaceutical litigation, contract and insurance coverage disputes, patent and trademark claims, product liability claims, labor law compliance, and catastrophic industrial and environmental cases.

In Houston he was a briefing attorney to Texas’ Sixth Court of Appeals. Before entering the profession of trial consulting, Robert practiced trial advocacy as an attorney for over 12 years, during which time he tried over 40 jury trials to verdict.

His doctoral research investigated the effectiveness of digital animation evidence in the courtroom.

Dr. Ray is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and the American Psychology-Law Society, and he is an actively licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Texas and Nebraska.
